    Please come to the Information centre if you with any questions or concerns during the event. You can also copy your resume at the centre.

    How to use "Japan Career Fair 2019 in Sydney" 100％

    Aug. 24 (Sat) 9：30～10：00

    Every year, a lot of students get offers at this job fair. We will talk about how to use this job fair to get a chance as many as possible. Also, we would like to tell you what to prepare before the interview. Those who already have an appointment, let's get ready for the interview by this opening school!
    (After this program, we will open "Support Area"! Please come by anytime!)

    Both, August 24 and 25 12：00-13：00

    Lunch will be served at the Networking Area. Anyone can join! Please enjoy your lunch and have communication wiht new people!

Event Characteristics

  • Job screening in Sydney by Japanese companies.

    "You can entry to Japanese companies of which formal screening take place in Sydney, Australia.
    Applications shall be submitted in advance, which allows efficient two-day screening."

  • A chance for an informal offer of employment on the day of the event.

    This recruiting process, preliminary screening, Skype meeting, phone interview, then final interview at the event ⇒ hiring, is efficient and favorable for busy international students to obtain informal offer of employment.

  • An opportunity to talk to the personnel directly.

We will again hold career seminars and advisory sessions in April-May. These will be held across the nation in Australia. Visit our website below for more details, and to book your attendance. (for FREE /any nationalities and year levels are welcome!)

2Make a reservation for productive information gathering

Sign up for the event once you decide to participate.
Our administrative office will regularly provide the latest and helpful information for obtaining an informal job offers to those who sign up for the event.
Sign up early not to miss out on importation information!

3Let`s shoot a video to introduce yourself. (※optional)

A new function to upload your introduction video has started just for the event reservation holders only.
Let`s appeal yourself in the video to the companies talking about the things you could not write on your resume.

4Start preparing your resume early

Your resume needs to be ready for submission when you entry to a company. Preparing a resume for the first time takes time. Start early and give yourself plenty of time for preparation. If you meet a company that interests you at the lunch meeting, you may submit your resume to them during the event. Although you may not be interested in some companies only by reading the information on the websites, it is not unusual to find your self interested in them after talking directly with the HR. personnel. We recommend you to bring several copies of your resume to take full advantage of this valuable opportunity.

5Get to know a company

All the participating companies at Japan Career Fair are actively hiring people with experience overseas, of studying abroad, and with bilingual skills.
Make sure to check out information of all the participating companies, all of which have a workplace where students overseas and bilingual speakers are valued.

6Entry to companies that interest you at once!

Once you entry to a company, you will receive a message from the company. Please make sure to check the message as it contains important information including how to submit your resume. Some companies provide information such as detailed screening process and how to submit your resume only to their applicants. Entry early to companies that interest you. Screening processes differs from each company. Please check the details with the webpage, “Recruitment data”, which will be updated accordingly.

7Make an appointment for an interview

Once you entry to a company and submit your resume, the company will contact you via email or message with instructions regarding to your interview, a preliminary interview via Skype and/or an interview at the event. Please make an appointment as soon as you can when you receive the instruction. We ask you to please make sure to cancel the appointment if you are not able to attend. Screening processes differs from each company. Please check the details with the webpage, “Recruitment data”, which will be updated accordingly. Check emails and messages often not to miss out on an opportunity!

    1. Those who already made a reservation for Japan Career Fair 2019 in Sydney and register to "Travel Scholarship".
    2. Scholarship would be selected by drawing.
    3. The amount of payments are decided based on the location of the University.
    4. We would send a message to those who are chosen until August 8th.
    5. You may have to participate to both days. On the first day, you will get "Travel Scholarship Ticket" at the reception desk. The payments will be available on the 2nd day, after 3pm at the reception desk.
    6. Please bring the following items.

  • Tell us about yourself! (practice)

【Advisory Session】60 mins. (in Japanese)

This session will be held by Japanese staff, for your particular questions or concerns.
This is roughly 10 minutes per person (it depends on the total number of students who have booked).
We offer individual advice on your concerns or interview practice.
